Rental Agreement

 

1.0 Introduction  

Please read this Rental Agreement before renting with us to ensure a clear smooth process. By renting from STYLE FOR A WHILE Limited you agree to be bound legally by this Rental Agreement. Please do not rent with us if you cannot agree to this rental agreement. This Rental Agreement is a legal agreement between you (the renter) and Style For A While Limited.  

 

1.1 Payments  

Payment for rentals will be done via shopify payment. The payment is to be made at the time of booking and secures the selected garment rental for the date you have selected. Once the payment is confirmed, only then can we release the selected garment to you. Please ensure you book as far in advance as you can. This allows us to receive the payment in a timely matter and also gives time for any postal delays. We do have a cut off time for orders which must be followed to ensure a smooth delivery. Postal bookings for the weekend of must be made by 11pm Wednesday and we recommend adding Saturday delivery if you’re booking after Wednesday 12pm.

The standard rental fee paid by you (the renter) upon booking covers one rental wear. The garment cannot be worn by any individual besides the renter. If the government is worn by more than one individual, the renter is responsible to cover an additional rental fee of the same cost of the rental. Any damages to the garment is the renters responsibility even if the damages were not caused by the renter.

 

1.2 Try Ons 

We often do try ons on Fridays between 10-4pm. We will post available times on our story if we are doing them that week dependent on how busy we are. We sometime allow pick up try ons where you can collect, try on at home and drop back on the same day. In this case If you (the renter) would like to book for that weekend you hold onto it and return it on day three. The same terms and conditions apply with late fees, damage etc.. If the rental is not returned same day we will assume you are renting it and you will need to cover the full rental price as per the website. Pick ups and drop offs are between 9am and 9pm, the same as normal rental times. Please do not arrive earlier or later unless arranged between us and yourself (the renter).

 

1.3 Shipping & Delivery 

Weekend rentals (Friday included) are posted Monday through Thursday of the same week. We use NZ Post and this is an overnight courier service. We do not ship using standard postage as this tends to be unreliable. Postage costs are to be paid by you (the renter) and the options are at check out. Once we have shipped your order out you will receive an email with your tracking number. We do not ship internationally. We cannot guarantee that it will arrive the next working day after it has been posted. We are not liable for any late orders (placed after 12pm Wednesday for the same weekend) being delayed due to the courier. We ask that you order with time to allow for delays. Please refer to our refund policy for information if the garment does not arrive on the day of your event. We accept postal orders up until Wednesday 11pm. If Friday is a public holiday our cut off times for orders move forward one day. Please note, if your address is rural and the postage cost exceeds $15.00 we may request you cover the difference.

 

1.4 Postal Returns 

 All ‘Return’ postal orders come with a prepaid courier bag that is to be used to return the garment to us. All the details are provided so all that is required by you is to drop this at your local NZ post store. This must be handed over the counter, and not into any drop boxes as this does not track the parcel nor ensures a timely return. Late fees will apply to any drop box returns.

All postal returns are required to be returned the NEXT working day. For all weekend rentals this will be Monday by 3pm (Tuesday 3pm if Monday is a public holiday). We do not want to charge any late fees, but returning a garment late will affect the next renter and our business. If you post it back instead of dropping it as agreed when you booked, you are liable to pay the daily late fee until it arrives. We will charge $20 per rental per day the item is not returned, and if the dress is not returned on time for the following weekends booking and we have to cancel a rental you will also be charged the total rental cost on top of the late fees (late fees + rental fee). The late fee during our busiest weeks of the year (December 20 - January 8th is increased to $40. If you lose your return bag and post the rental back it needs to be overnight courier from your local NZ Post office. The sticker will be yellow and start with LV. If you do not post with overnight it could take up to a week and the rental will be dropped to our mailbox instead of our door step, in which you are liable to replace the garment if it is stolen. You are also liable for late fees as this effects future bookings. You are not liable for any delays the courier may have returning the dress to us if it has been handed over the counter the next working day in an overnight courier bag.

 

1.5 Pick Up & Drop Off 

We are open between 9am-9pm for pick ups and drop offs. We have a pick up and drop off option that you can use if you are able to do so. This is free of charge and is your obligation and responsibility to ensure you can pick up and drop off. We will email you with the pick up/drop off address when it is ready but are not liable if you can longer pick up and drop off. If your circumstances change and you can no longer pick up or drop off this is your obligation to let us know via email or Instagram DM to discuss your options. If you are dropping a weekend rental back to us this must be done so by Sunday 9pm. We will charge $20 per rental per day the item is not returned, and if the outfit is not returned on time for the following weekend and we have to cancel a rental you will also be charged the total rental cost on top of the late fees (late fees + rental fee). Returns must be dropped to the front door. If they are placed in the mailbox and are stolen you are responsible for the replacement costs, missed rental fees etc.

 

 1.6 Refund Policy 

 For official bookings we do not offer a refund if you receive the outfit and it does not fit, you do not like the item once received or your event has been cancelled. We can offer the same outfit for another date or credit if your event has been cancelled or you no longer require your garment. You need to let us know at least 48 hours before your booking (for pick up) and for post, we can only offer this if we haven’t yet posted it (we post Monday-Wednesday depending on the previous renters return). This can be arranged by getting in contact with us via email or Instagram DM. If the outfit does not arrive on your selected date due to delays with the courier post we can offer a date exchange for the same outfit or credit (excluding postage). However, if the outfit is ordered after 12pm Wednesday for the same weekend we cannot guarantee the arrival of the outfit and this will be at your own risk. If you receive a garment damaged i.e stained or torn a full refund will be processed including the postage cost. If you still want to wear it despite the flaws, we can discuss partial refund to compensate. We do however state any minor issues with the dress with you via email when renting and we keep do an in-depth evaluation of the dress at any ongoing or outgoing moment so if this is the case you will not be offered a refund. If you supply the incorrect address or accidentally opt for pick up a refund cannot be issued. It is up to you to provide all the correct details when placing an order. ALL refunds cannot be issued until the garment has been returned on time. For every late day the garment is not returned the total of $20.00 per rental per day after will be deducted from the refund price.

 

1.7 Cleaning and Damage

 Please do not attempt to wash the garments yourself as this may result in damages to the garments if it is done incorrectly. All rental prices include cleaning of the outfits, which includes removing minor stains, tan marks etc. If you wash the outfit before returning we will require 50% of your rental price paid to us to compensate as each wash wears the garment.

If we find that the outfit has been damaged i.e small holes, tears, difficult stains etc. the repair cost will need to be covered by you (the renter). If they are not 100% repairable but are minor (still wearable - determined by us) we will require a compensation fee for the damage. This fee will be decided by us dependant on the extent of the damage and RRP. If the dress has been severely damaged beyond repair we require that you pay the full RRP including postage of the outfit and missed rentals until the replacement arrives. We can also arrange payment options upon discussion. This does not mean you get to keep the rental unless arranged between ourselves and you (the renter).  

 

1.8 Content 

You agree that any photos you send of yourself in our clothing, or tag us in may appear on our Instagram or website. We love to share these so please send them through if you feel comfortable to do so.  

 

1.9 Loss of Garment 

 In the occasion that we send a outfit out and it does not arrive a full investigation with NZ post will be opened. If the tracking has 'delivered' but has not arrived to you, we ask that you get in contact with us within 24 hours. We will then together open an investigation, which will either determine if the courier has delivered it to the correct address or it has been 'lost'. In the event NZ post provide proof of delivery, we will not be able to process a refund, and may need to charge a garment replacement fee as you will be liable. If the parcel is proven to be lost, we will be able to process a full refund.  

If you send the rental to us with standard post instead of the required overnight post, they will leave it in our letter box instead of our front door. If the rental is stolen from the letter box due to postage T's and C's not being followed, we require that you pay the full RRP of the outfit and missed rentals until the replacement arrives. We can also arrange payment options upon discussion.

 

1.10 Theft 

 If we do not receive the garment back after the rental period ends, and we cannot make contact, Style For A While Limited will legally take action to receive the full compensation amount (late fees, cancelled rental fees + replacement fees) By not returning your garment you are therefore breaking the terms and conditions agreed upon when renting, and we will use a third party company to either obtain the garment and / or fees.

 

1.11 Late Fees

The late fee is $20 per day per garment. If the late fee/s are not paid immediately the fee will increase by 25% per week. We can issue an invoice upon request.
